You will activate more muscle fibers as you lift the bar from the position where the muscle contraction already exists. Otherwise, you will rest at the bottom, and you will not feel the real pump! Hit the failure with as many reps as possible! When you cannot lift the bar over your upper ABS, that is your last rep!
